Wedding Novels Whether You Love 'Em Or Dread 'EmGood Morning Reader, Did you know that Tom and I had a summer wedding? Spoiler, I don't even like the summer (it's too hot, sorry!). However, at the time, I was working for a charter school (that ran like a cult); summers were all I had off for big vacations. We also uniquely got married in a barn - an expensive AF barn in CT - even though we swore we'd never drop that much money on one day. It was a gorgeous rustic barn, though, and I dreamed of getting married under these wispy weeping willow trees. We were told that it had only rained 2 - 3 July weddings EVER from the venue host, so we didn't have much of a back-up plan if it showered. Tom and I as well as our bridesmaids didn't even have umbrellas. But guess the f' what: it RAINED. And not just a little rain... full-blown, raging thunderstorm rain (there might have been tornado warnings), which was romantic later in the night when we were all happily drunk, fed, and warm. Rain is good luck, right? RIGHT?! I also had made the call to still get married outside, IN THE RAIN (before it was actually raining), and our photographer adequately captured how wedding guests felt about that decision when no one was looking... What can I say, the weeping willows were calling. It was a travel-themed wedding: paper airplane centerpieces that we made and shipped individually from Florida, compass table name cards, suitcase candy gifts, and a suitcase wedding cake. We are both Italian so each household name took up their own table (easy seating chart!). Where am I going with this?! Nowhere really... But, whether you love weddings or hate them - or just like the bridal parties and honeymoon - I have a brand new wedding book list for you. These are my favorite contemporary wedding novels set in fun places.
Sheree also wrote us a great wedding book list, and Tori has two wedding movie lists: funny wedding movies and best all-time wedding movies. Happy reading and watching! If you love these recs, say thanks with a small tip here. I'll be back with July's bingo card refresher soon. P.S. I have a new newsletter provider (I know, again). I hope you like the new, simple look! |

Good Morning Reader, We are back from Sonoma and about to get hit with the remnants of Florida's tropical storm, Helene. I thought we escaped having to move all of our patio furniture inside from Florida. I'm triggered. We are most concerned about our mountain trees and losing power. I'll try to share more of our Sonoma trip soon, but first: I cannot believe it is time for a new bingo card. Fall Uncorked Bingo Our next Uncorked Bingo card is for October through December; download cards from...
